Popular Ghanaian Actor John Dumelo Wins Parliamentary Election

Popular Ghanaian actor John Dumelo has emerged winner of the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency parliamentary election.

40 year old Dumelo who is contesting the seat for the 2nd time lost his first bid to incumbent parliamentarian Lydia Alhassan  won he defeated in 2024.

Dumelo who ran under the platform of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), won with 40,561 votes, while Alhassan, of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), secured 27,377 votes.

The actor who spoke to supporters after the official announcement of result by the Electoral Commission expressed gratitude to his supporters and promised to deliver on his campaign pledges.
