Accolades have continued to trail the Wife of the Governor of Cross River State, Her Excellency, Rev. Eyoanwan Otu, over her unflinching commitment to uplifting the most vulnerable segments of society, barely four months of the present administration.
Prominent figures in the state, under the aegis of elder statesmen and women, notably, Hon. Eyo Nsa Ekpo Esq, Sir Maurice Effiwatt ksji, Hon. Victor Okon, Hon. (Mrs.) Ada Egwu, Prof. Emmanuel Eyo Esq, Rev. James Anam, Hon. Ani Esin, and Hon. 1. Malaria Control: Her Excellency initiated a comprehensive malaria control program, which involved the distribution of insecticides and mosquito nets across the state to combat this persistent health issue.
2. Charitable Outreach: Rev. Eyoanwan Otu's visits to orphanages and homes for the elderly have yielded substantial donations of food items, clothing, and even a generator. These contributions have provided crucial support to vulnerable groups in society.
3. Rehabilitation and Counselling: Her Excellency's groundbreaking visit to the Nigerian Custodial Center in Calabar stands out. During this visit, she offered prayers and counseling to inmates, inspiring them to aspire to become productive citizens upon release. She also provided financial backing for the renovation and construction of essential facilities within the facility.

8. Women's Rights Advocacy: Her Excellency has addressed women's rights issues in rural communities, with a particular focus on Obanliku Local Government, where she has championed the cause of women.
