The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) Cross River State chapter has hailed the wife of Governor Otu, Rev. Mrs Enyoanwan Bassey Otu, over Solemn Assembly Initiative.

Recall that on Saturday, July 8, 2023, the state held it's maiden edition of Solemn Assembly with the theme, "O'Lord, Heal the Land," and it was convened by Mrs Otu.

Having recorded success at the last outing, the state is also set for the second edition of Solemn Assembly/Fasting Prayer Meeting slated for Saturday, November 4,2023 at Calabar International Conference Centre (CICC), Calabar with the theme, "Season of total recovery" (Ist Samuel 30:8).

Cross River State Solemn Assembly

Solemn Assembly is the vision of present administration which is aimed at not only handing over the state to God's guidance, but to always seek His presence at all times in the course of governance.

Hailing the First Lady, Rev. Mrs. Enyoanwan Otu, for the putting up another edition barley three months after, the Team Lead of the event and  state chairman of PFN, Apostle Trinity Ogar, said it is high time all Christian faith organisations came together towards achieving a common goal of total recovery of the dividends and blessings of God upon Cross River state.

He said: " Her Excellency is passionate about the prayer and fasting session. She has also stressed that the force of unity is key in this kind of spiritual outing. Solemn Assembly is apolitical and non-denominational.

"Therefore, I, the leader of the Christian faith-based organisations, other leaders  and citizens of Cross River enjoin all to come out massively and call upon God  for total recovery

"As we prepare for the second phase of the Solemn Assembly, we commend Her Excellency for the laudable vision and prays for more wisdom and grace upon the Government for effective leadership.

"We also commend, the National Publicity Secretary of the PFN, Bishop Emmah Isong, for the significant role played in putting together the last Assembly."

The last Solemn Assembly attracted hundreds of dignatries from all walks of life including top government functionaries, PFN leadership, religious leaders and follo
