Owan-Enoh Assures Of Enabling Environment For Sports Development

The Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan-Enoh has assured of continuous work towards creating an enabling environment for Nigerian sports men and women to flourish on the international stage.
Speaking while congratulating the Nigerian football sensation ,Victor Osimhen the Minister acknowledged the athletes exceptional achievements in securing 8th place in the prestigious Balloon d'Or awards and admitted that Victor's extraordinary talent and hardwork make him the pride of the country and a source of inspiration to the aspiring footballers across the nation.
Senator Enoh stated that Osimhen's outstanding performance was a thing of pride for the nation and noted that his achievements will serve as a tonic to Nigerian youths and a reminder that with talent, hardwork and determination they can excell in their chosen careers.
He said that Osimhen's journey in football is far from being over and expressed the believe that he has the potentials to achieve even greater heights in the coming years.
"We will continue to provide the necessary support to ensure that he and other athletes reach their full potentials. Next ,we are backing him to win the CAF men's best player award, the Minister re-assured.
The sports boss pledged his unwavering support to Osimhen and all other athletes and emphasised the importance of investing in sports development.
Osimhen currently plays for Napoli and has been a beacon of hope for young athletes. By this record Osimhen becomes the first Nigerian to finish in the top 10 of the Balloon d'Or. He is the first African to emerge top scorer in Italian serie A .
