Otu Seek Partners To Address Housing Needs

Cross River state government has indicated its readiness to effectively collaborate with private developers in addressing the prevailing housing challenge in the state.
The Special Adviser to Governor Otu on Social Housing Prince Ekanem Ekpo dropped the hint while exchanging views with newsmen after a stakeholders meeting in Calabar.
According to him;" The stakeholders meeting was convened to foster synergy and explore ideals towards addressing the growing housing deficiency confronting us as a state.
"We needed to lay a foundation for fruitful discussion amongst private investors and bankers who are key drivers while we provide the needful for smooth implementation of common ground adopted at the meeting"
Ekpo disclosed that the approach is meant to secure private and public partnerships needed to guarantee the attainment of government-set targets which entails the provision of durable and affordable housing for the citizenry.
