Notorious Ambazonian Fighter Who killed Belegete Chief Arrested By Joint Vigilance Team At Nigerian, Cameroon Border

The Joint Vigilance Team (JVT) between Nigeria and Cameroon have recorded some major breakthrough as they arrested a notorious ambazonian fighter at the boundary between the two countries, THE BEAGLE NEWS can authouritatively reveal.
The fighter called "AKPO GIANT" was sighted at Belegete border community following a tip off by some hunters who sited him in the forest.
On getting wind of it, the vigilance team swung into action and the suspect was apprehended.
Once he was arrested, the local security men quickly contacted the Nigerian army and handed over the suspect to them.
THE BEAGLE NEWS authouritatively gathered that the suspect has been moved to Ogoja army formation for interrogation.
The said-suspect, one of the leaders of Ambazonina militants group, was the one that allegedly led the operation that killed of Belegete chief early this year.
The Ambazonian militants are a rebellious group fighting in Southwest Cameroon for sovereignty.
Belegete is not the only Nigerian community that has been ravaged by this group.
Okwa, a community in Cross River State’s Boki local governemnt government area, has also been severally attacked by the militants.
Okwa is located at the border with Southwest Cameroon within the Gorilla Protection Unit of the Okwangwo Division of the Cross River National Park.
Recall that on December 17, 2023, Ambazonian militants invaded Belegete community, causing panic by firing indiscriminately, issuing threats, and restricting locals from accessing their farmland without cause.
In the process, they kidnapped and subsequently execution of Chief Ogweshi Francis Ongwele in Belegette, a neighboring community, resulting in injuries, kidnappings, and destruction of properties.
The Nigerian could not reached for their comment on the arrest, but a source said they are in custody of the suspect and is being interrogated.
