Nigerian Canada-based Activist Says Otu's Supreme Victory Ends Unresolved Questions Around eligibility of dual citizenship

A Nigerian Canada-based rights exectuive and philanthropist Princewill Ogban, has stated that Governor Bassey Otu's victory at Supreme Court would end the long lasting unresolved questions around eligibility of Nigerians with dual citizenship in contesting elections on Nigeria.

Congratulating Governor Bassey Otu and the Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Peter Odey, on the Apex Court victory, in a telephone interview, the Cross River-born Ogban maintained that "the victory is a welcomed development for Nigerians who hold dual citizenship.

"It will boast Nigerian Diaspora participation in politics in their home country.

"It puts to an end the long lasting unresolved questions around eligibility of Nigerians with dual citizenship in contesting elections on Nigeria."

According to him, now is the auspicious time for all critical stakeholders tp come together assist in developing the state for the benefits of the citizenry, who are yearning for good governance.

He called on Cross Riverians in Diaspora to rally round and offer their expertise to the Otu-led administration for further development of the state.
