Nigeria Youth Group Calls On Atiku To Contest 2027 Presidential Election

Ahead of 2027, Nigeria Youth For Atiku (NYFA) has called on former Vice President, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, to throw his hat into the ring for the 2027 presidential election.
The youth group says it is imperative for Atiku to run because of the high-stakes in the political contest for the nation's future and a coordinated threat to their own future aspirations.
Speaking at a meeting in Lagos state, where he addressed the NYFA Lagos state contingent, the Deputy Regional Coordinator, South, of the Nigeria Youth For Atiku, Hon. Victor Bassey, said this is a momentous opportunity for Nigeria's youths to unite and propel collective growth and development, stressing that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar's participation in the 2027 presidential election is essential in fostering a conducive environment.
According to Bassey, "the overwhelming enthusiasm among youths for His Excellency Alhaji Atiku Abubakar to contest is a powerful testament to his exceptional leadership potential, positioning him as a frontrunner among potential candidates.
"Naturally, only those who are opposed to Nigeria's growth are envious of Atiku, taking into account his impressive record of antecedents and his followership across the 36 States of Nigeria.
"Nevertheless, it is imperative that we foster a spirit of reconciliation and healing, knowing that Atiku is the incoming president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
"We must not allow rivalry to impede our collective progress towards victory. Instead, let us celebrate our diversity and channel our energies towards a common objective, which is securing victory for H.E Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in 2027.
"H.E Alhaji Atiku Abubakar GCON is a highly regarded administrator, a distinguished political figure globally, and a remarkably successful businessman. His candidacy symbolises hope, necessitating unwavering commitment from all stakeholders and party supporters."
Maintaining that It has become expedient to move beyond individual perspectives and embrace a collective vision for Nigeria, "the Deputy Regional Coordinator, South, contends that it is crucial youth coalesce and put aside our differences to issue a unified call for Atiku to declare his intention for 2027.

Head of Research and Strategy (Oshobi), Head of Genz (Julius Jiragh), Ggborogboro Master (Adebayo Tope), and South West Zonal Coordinator (Hon Adeola Adebisi).
Others are Lagos State Coordinator (Depo), Ogun State Coordinator (Victor Olufem) and all the 21 LG Coordinators and Stakeholders.
