NDDC Assures of Transparency in Youth Internship Scheme Selection Process

Handover of the NDDC Youth Internship Scheme Database Platform
The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) hasassured applicants of the 2024 NDDC Youth Internship Scheme of deligence and transparency in its selection process.
The Executive Director of Projects in the NDDC Sir Victor Antai made this known during the official handing over of the database collation platform for the Youth Internship Scheme, developed by South Bridge Enterprises Systems Limited, to the NDDC.
He acknowledged the diligent efforts of all the stakeholders who collaborated in ensuring the success of the region's youth skill development and economic empowerment programme while assuring that the transparency in the selection process is a priority for the commission.
"The purpose of today’s meeting, is to formally hand over the database collation platform for the Youth Internship Scheme, developed by South Bridge Enterprises to the NDDC.
"We are also formally transmitting the data to Angala Fintech, the lead consultant responsible for overseeing the selection process for the beneficiaries of the Youth Internship Scheme.
"We commend South Bridge Enterprises Systems Ltd for their outstanding work on the database platform and look forward to a successful collaboration with Angala Fintech to ensure the effective implementation of this vital and transformative initiative. Once the selection of the 10,000 youths is completed, the Commission will publish the shortlisted beneficiaries on its official website and social media handles.
"Together, NDDC is committed to empowering the youth of the Niger Delta and fostering their development through this internship program." Sir Victor Antai stated.
Recall that the youth internship Scheme (NYIS) was launched on August 5th, 2024, in Port Harcourt with the aim of providing valuable opportunities for 10,000 youths across the nine Niger Delta states, providing each beneficiary with a monthly stipend of 50,000 naira for a year.
So far, the NDDC has revealed that it has received over 3 million applications for the Youth Internship Scheme.
