First Lady Pledges To Transform Lives Of Street Children

The Wife of the Governor of Cross River State, Rev. (Mrs) Eyoanwan Otu, has pledged her readiness to transform the lives of vulnerable children roaming the streets of the state capital.
She made the pledge while addressing the children in the streets of Calabar during a party organised for the vulnerable children jointly sponsored by Nugi Tech and the Uniters Hub Foundation as part of activities marking her 60th birthday.
"I want you to know that you are loved. Do not look at your present condition to conclude over your future. By the grace of God, your lives will be transformed", Governor's wife advised.
According to her, the Cross River Governor has promised to run an all - inclusive government which will benefit everyone including the less privileged in the society.
"This is the Season of Sweetness, and His Excellency, the Governor of Cross River state, Senator Prince Bassey Otu, has promised to run an all-inclusive government, so you will not be left behind."
Eyoawan assured. The representative of the Nugi Technologies, Mercy Uke, stated that, "To honour our beloved mother, Nugi Technologies is committed to sponsoring six children throughout their secondary school education.
Additionally, we'll provide technology training at our specialized tech school. Our goal is to empower these children, shaping brighter futures for them."
The children were treated to a dance competition, sack race, and the egg and spoon race. Meanwhile, a football match between Marian Market Women and Watt Market Women was also held as part of activities to mark the 60th birthday of the first lady.
The match, which took place at the UJ Esuene stadium, Calabar, saw members of both markets in their numbers. Speaking before taking the kick off, Rev. Eyoanwan Otu, who spoke to the women in the native dialect, reassured them of her love. "I love you all so much, and I feel loved today by you.
Thank you for the sacrifice to train for weeks to ensure you give us a beautiful show. "You were an amazing part of our journey from the campaigns to the elections, you cannot be forgotten.
As much as it lies within me, when there is any form of empowerment, you will be duly informed and carried along.
