Mass Exodus As PDP, APGA, LP Members Defect To Ruling APC In Ebonyi

Thousands of members of the opposition parties of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), All Progressive Grand Alliance ( APGA) and Labour Party ( LP) have defected the the ruling All Progressives Congress ( APC) in Amana ward in Ezza South LGA of Ebonyi state.
March, 2, 2024. The defection, which took place on Saturday, March 2, 2024 and held at Central School Amana, attracted party stalwarts and major stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress. Some of the dignatories include the Senator representing Ebonyi Central Senatorial District and Chairman Senate Committee on Information and National Orientation, Sen. Kenneth Eze FNSE, FNATE, represented by his Chief of staff, Hon. Christopher Anyigor, the APC chairman in Ezza South, Barr. Chukwurmeka Uwa, the Youth leader of the All Progressives Congress in Ezza South, Mr. Solomon Unah, youths and women organisations.
Speaking at the event, former State Assembly aspirant and leader of APGA in Ezza land, Chief Samuel Onyia, expressed optimism that APC would deliver on mandate, commending Governor Nwifuru for appointing Hon. Chita Moses Uchenna as the development center coordinator.
He maintained that APGA has already collapsed its structure to the APC for the overall development of Ezza South East Development Center.
Also speaking, a major stakeholder of the People's Democratic Party in the ward, Mr. Obaji Sampaon Monday, eulogized the State Governor, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, for his administrative ingenuity and developmental projects cutting across every nook and crannies of the state and vowed to work with the party at all costs.
Earlier, the chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Ezza South, Barr. Chukwurmeka Uwa, described the defection as a mega rally while noting that Hon. Chita Moses was the only Coordinator who has distinguished himself to give the party a massive outlook.
On his part, the Coordinator, Hon Chita Moses thanked the good people of Amana ward for their robust relationship since his emergence as Coordinator and pleaded with them to give him their maximum cooperation to move the party forward.
Those who defected include the former PDP leader in the ward, Prince Eze Ogbonna, a former councilor on the platform of PDP, Mrs. Ebere Eze Okoro, and youth leader of APGA in the ward, Mr. Nwachukwu Ogbonna.
