Sources close to PDP in the North disclosed that the State Independent Electoral Commission, the umpire, has allegedly put in place machinery to manipulate the Saturday, November 2, 2024 of local government elections.
The party alleged that all Cross River State Independent Electoral Commission (CROSIEC) Electoral officers in North were changed at the point of collecting election materials on the allegations that they were working for PDP.
They further alleged that election materials meant for Obudu local government area were handed over to representative of the All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmanship candidate, Mr. Peter Undiandeye.
One of the PDP representatives present at the scene, Ushie Emmanuel Ushie, confided in THE BEAGLE NEWS that CROSIEC officials are working in tandem with APC members, adding we expected it but we shall challenge all the processes at the appropriate time.
Reacting an APC stalwart, who simply gave his name as Augustine Odey, said PDP os crying wolf because they know they have already lost.
Odey wondered why PDP is making a mountain out of a molehill even when they are not campaigning, adding "we shall meet them in court but we will win ground first."
