Jarigbe Empowers C' River North Traditional Rulers With 54 Motorcycles

The Senator, representing Cross River North Senatorial District, Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, empowered traditional rulers in the constituency with 54 motorcycles.
The motorcycles were presented to 54 traditional rulers drawn from the 54 political wards across the five local government areas of the senatorial district.
Presenting the motorcycles, Sen. Jarigbe, who was represented by his Constituency Officer, Mr. Egar Mgbantul, said he "decided to present these motorcycles to you our traditional rulers to assist you move around in the discharge of your duties in your various communities.
"The gesture was done in recognition of the status of the traditional institutions as the custodians of religion and culture as well as the vehicle of cohesion and peace in the society.
"We shall continue to work with traditional and religious leaders to ensure lasting peace and harmony in the senatorial district."
Commending the lawmaker, His Highness, Chief Ade Abuo, said the Senator has made us to understand and feel dividends of democracy and added that he has been a blessing to his constituents since he went to National Assembly.
Also speaking, His Royal Highness, Uti Okwor Olenyen of Utugwang North, said: "We appreciate the Senator for his magnanimity. Indeed, he has been the face of true democracy."
