IWD; NOWA Boss Tasks Women On Inclusiveness

Chairperson of Naval Officers Wives Association (NOWA) Eastern Naval Command, Mrs Hadiza Zipele, has tasked women to participate actively in all human endeavors to guarantee their inclusion in policy and decision-making processes.
The NOWA Chairperson advised while addressing women organizations in Calabar as part of events to mark the 2024 International Women's Day themed; "Inspire Inclusion",.
She noted that '"it's only when women believe in themselves to be firm, bold, acquire knowledge, and support themselves by sticking together in Unity and Peace before they can face any challenge against their progress at any point in time"
She observed " Women need to know their capacity as effective home managers to enable them extend their scope to other strata at the national level"
The NOWA Chairperson, lauded the duo of President Tinubu and the Cross River Governor, Senator Bassey Otu, for being gender friendly and always ready to listen and address the yearnings of women.
Earlier, the Special Assistant to the Governor, Cross River Liaison Office, Lagos, and former APC Women Leader, Hon. Esther Bepeh remarked that women's inclusion in decision-making must start from the home, community, local government, State as well as the federal level of governance while encouraging women to sit - up and support each other to achieve a common goal.
Representatives of the Yoruba and Hausa communities in Calabar as well as some women associations from the local government areas felicitated the Wife of the Governor, Rev. Eyoawan Edet Otu, and female professionals and all women in the key position of governance for their sacrifices towards liberating women from economic, religious and socio cultural limitations.
The Women with Disabilities representative also appealed for the inclusion of their members in government empowerment programes like skills acquisition and political appointments.
