Gov. Umo Eno Flags Off 32.4km Road Projects in Rural Areas

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has flagged off the construction of two major roads in Ibiono Ibom and Ikono Local Government Areas.
The projects include a 10.9km Use Ikot Amama road with two bridges and a 21.5km Ikot Anyan Ediene road with a 60m span bridge.
Speaking at the ceremony, Governor Eno emphasized the significance of the roads, which will connect Ibiono Ibom with Ikono LGA. He tasked the construction firm, Setraco Limited, to deliver the project according to specifications, citing their reputation as one of the best road contractors.
The Governor reiterated his administration's commitment to providing an economically viable road network across the state.
He noted that road infrastructure is a critical catalyst for development, and his administration is determined to raise the bar of development in all sectors, including tourism, healthcare, transportation, and more.
Governor Eno also appreciated the people of Ibiono Ibom for their support and pledged to deliver on his mandate.
He commended the Senate President, Senator Goodwill Akpabio, for his vision in developing the area during his administration.
The event was attended by various dignitaries, including members of the House of Representatives, the Chairman of the Local Government Council, and the Paramount Ruler of the Area.
They commended the Governor for taking development to the grassroots and pledged their support for his government beyond 2027.
