General Hospital Calabar Boosts Diagnostic Capacity with New Sinocare Laboratory Equipment

In a major step towards enhancing healthcare services, the General Hospital, Calabar, has acquired and commissioned a state-of-the-art Sinocare laboratory chemistry analyzer.  The new equipment, inaugurated, recently, by the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Henry Egbe Ayuk, will significantly expand the hospital’s diagnostic capabilities.

With this cutting-edge analyzer, the hospital can now efficiently conduct a wide range of critical medical tests, including liver and kidney function assessments, prostate screenings, and lipid profile evaluations. The addition of this advanced technology is expected to improve diagnostic accuracy, reduce turnaround times, and enhance patient care.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Dr. Ayuk reaffirmed the Cross River State Government’s commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure, ensuring that public hospitals are equipped with modern medical technology to meet growing healthcare demands. He emphasized that the new laboratory equipment aligns with the government’s broader vision of improving diagnostic efficiency and providing high-quality healthcare services to the public.

“The installation of the Sinocare analyzer marks a significant milestone in the hospital’s modernization efforts, positioning it as a key center for advanced medical diagnostics in the region. With faster and more reliable test results, patients can now receive quicker diagnoses and more effective treatments, reinforcing the government’s dedication to accessible and high-quality healthcare,” Ayuk stated, while enjoining residents of the state to utilize the improved health services for their health needs.
