First Anniversary: C'River PFN Chair Scores Otu High
By Judex OKORO
The Chairman of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) Cross River State chapter, Apostle Trinity Ogar, has hailed Governor Bassey Otu, describing his one year in office as life changing and memorable.
Speaking in a telephone interview with THE BEAGLE NEWS, Ogar said the people did not make a wrong choice by voting in Otu and his Deputy, Dr Peter Odey, as they have demonstrated tremendous capacity to lead the state to greater heights.
According to him, the state has started witnessing some positive transformations in the area of infrastructure, tourism drive and agriculture as well as transport.
He said: "So far, Governor Otu is on the right path to socio-economic recovery. I think Cross Riverians made a right choice going by what we are seeing on ground. Most importantly, God gave us the right person at the nick of time.
"During electioneering, Otu promised people-oriented programmes and he has lived up to it. He has promised to take it round the 18 local government areas. He also pledged to look into 3 urban cities and we do hope that with finances those things are achievable.
"We pray to God to give him the enablement, wisdom and courage to see all those lofty projects and ideas through so that we can have not only better Calabar but a better Cross River.
"I, therefore, urge Cross Riverians to be patient, lend their support and pray for the administration to succeed to be able to deliver on mandate. Cross Riverians should be willing to give constructive advice when necessary because he has just done one year.
"For us in the church and as God representatives on earth, our mandate from God is to pray for our leaders consistently to ensure that our government does not crash. So, we say congratulations once again on your positive one year in office. "
