Fire Outbreak Destroys Properties Worth Millions Of Naira in Ikom Main Market

There has been a fire outbreak at the Ikom main market ravaging goods and properties worth millions of Naira.

The fire, which began in the early hours of Sunday, January 12, gutted shops along the mile 2 road axis of the market opposite Ochedore street.

As at press time, the cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained. Fire fighters were not available to put out the fire leaving the traders to battle the inferno by themselves.

This is the third fire incident in the state since the beginning of this year after fire gutted the high court as well as Ishibori market in Ogoja.
