BREAKING: Gunmen Shot DStv Reporter Dead, 6 Others wounded

Some journalists working with DSTV were attacked by armed gunmen killing one person a d wounding 6 others.

It was gathered that the crew members were heading to Uyo in Akwa Ibom State to cover the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier match and were ambushed and kidnapped, resulting in the death of one crew member, Kay The ugly incident happened between Isseke-Orlu Road in Ihiala local government area while en-route from Lagos to Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital.

The Anambra State Police Command, in collaboration with joint security forces, successfully rescued six of the kidnapped journalists, according to a report by Sahara Reporters.

The Public Relations Officer of the Command, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, confirmed the incident stating, “Joint security forces have successfully rescued six members of the media crew who were abducted while traveling from Lagos to Uyo along Isseke-Orlu Road in Ihiala.”
