DG Traffic Management, Regulatory Agency to Face Panel Over Alleged N10m Fraud

Director General of Traffic Management and Regulatory Agency (TRAMA), Effiong Imoh, is to face a five-man panel over alleged N10m Fraud and gross misconduct.
The 5- man panel are
There are as Orok B. Orok, (Permanent Secretary Office of the SSG), Etta James (Director HR- Head of Service), Bentem Brian, (CA/OFFICE OF AUDITOR GENERAL), Gloria Lukpata, (DIRECTOR MIN OF FINANCE) and representative from IRS.
The Director General of TRAMRA will answer a 10 count charges including "collection of penalties and fines from traffic offenders by hand through one Mr. Victor Epele, a non-staff of the Agency and a younger brother to the Director General.
"Allocation of Government Office to the said brother, when board members have neither table chair nor Office.
"Depriving the Internal Auditor Posted to the Agency an office accommodation and appointing a personal Auditor for the Agency, one Mr Emmanuel Inyang.
"Rrecord of collecting N3,000,000 (Three million naira) weekly and N12,000,000 (Twelve million naira) monthly from the charge ticket which is transferred to his Ecobank Account, with details: 0201008293, Name: Effiong Umoh.
"Imposing outrageous levies up to the sum of 150,000 or more to individuals that contravenes traffic regulations which is unlawful.
"Setting up six enforcement team on a target of eleven (11) vehicle per day.
"Outright refusal of any senior administrative officer or Director posted to the Agency.
"Receiving the sum of N3,500,000 only being imprest of the Agency for the month of July, August and September and deposited in his private account.
"Diversion of the sum of N6,000,000 being money approved by The Governor for professional training of marshals into his private account.
"Embezzlement of Agency monthly imprest."
