Cross River State Government Approves N70,000 New Minimum Wage for Workers, Vows to Prioritize Worker Welfare

The state Governor Senator Bassey Otu has approved N70,000 as new minimum wage in Cross River state.
The Governor who made the announcement after a closed door meeting with labour leaders in the state on Sunday evening said the new minimum wage comes with consequential adjustments.
He reiterated the fact that the workers in the state are the fulcrum of governance hence their welfare remains his top priority.
The state Governor added that he shall continue to work with labour unions in the state alongside other stakeholders to build a better Cross River State.
