Cross River PDP Suspends State Financial Secretary Over Gross Misconduct

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Cross River State has suspended its State Financial Secretary, Chris Edadi, for for a month.

The suspension of Edadi was contained in a letter dated May 17, 2024 and signed by the State Publicity Secretary.

 The party’s State Working Committee (SWC) had during a meeting held on May 8, 2024, at the PDP State Secretariat at Mary Slessor Avenue, Calabar, decided on Edadi's accusing him of gross misconduct.  

 The committee also fined him Fifty Thousand Naira (N50,000) and demanded an unreserved written apology to the party’s leadership.

The letter partly reads in part: “The SWC has been forced to suspend Chris Edadi for one month due to several allegations of misconduct. He was found guilty of offenses against the party’s constitution, including Chapter 10, sub-sections 58-59."
