Cross River ADITOP Chairman Lashes Out at IPMAN, Calls them Shameful

The Cross River State Chapter of the Association of Distributors and Transporters of Petroleum Products (ADITOP) has debunked the statement issued by the by Chief Robert Obi led faction of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) alleging that the Assistant Inspector General of police (AIG) zone 6 Jonathan Towuru kicks against the operations of ADITOP in the state.

Describing the report as misleading, the state chairman of ADITOP Apostle Ekpenyong Ayi, stated that the AIG  never said such neither did he give an instruction for ADITOP to steer clear from depots in Cross River State.

Apostle Ekpeyong Ayi reiterated that IPMAN lacks the locus-standing to stop ADITOP from operating stating that all their efforts were in futility.

“It is shameful that in their quest to achieve their lustful desires , Obi and his co-travelers had to descend so low as to peddling unfounded lies.

“They even went as far as involving a highly placed security personnel as the AIG in their charade with the intention to misinforming and misleading the public not minding his integrity”.

“The AIG zone 6 is seriously furious and has distanced himself from the report, this shows the scam and ill intentions of Obi and his cohorts” Ayi said.

Responding to the allegation that some names mentioned in their letter denied ADITOP, Ayi noted that ADITOP is a duly registered union with license to operate.

“This is a united front of petroleum tanker owners and entrepreneurs who are working together to enhance the distribution and transportation of Petroleum products with the highest standards of professionalism and industry best practices. We will never allow ourselves to be intimated or victimized under any guise by any unscrupulous element or group as we go about our legitimate businesses”.

He warned IPMAN to desist from peddling falsehood and from dragging the name ADITOP around as the association is focused on serving the general public and aiding the Nigerian Government’s endeavours in the downstream sector of the Oil and Gas Industry.
