Cross River: 800 Homes in Etomi Community To Benefit From EU-Funded Mini-grid Solar Farm Project

A total of 800 homes in the Etomi community in Etung loca government area of Cross River state is to benefit from EU-funded mini-grid solar farm project.
The EU-funded I96kwh-100H inverter Jinko power house mini-grid solar farm boasts of 119kW capacity.
This solar farm is designed to provide electricity to the community The Commissioner, Power and Renewable Energy,Prince Eka Williams, who disclosed this during visit was to assess the progress of the project alongside the EU team and the partners, said the solar farm is now fully operational and ready to power the Etomi community.
He said: "I am pleased to announce, on behalf of His Excellency, Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu, the Governor of our beloved state, that the solar farm is now fully operational and ready to power the Etomi community.
All stages of the project have been successfully completed.
"This initiative, not only enhances energy accessibility in the region, but also supports our commitment to renewable energy and sustainable development."
