Cross River Cocoa Allocation C'tee Begins Interface With Landlord Communities

The Cross River Cocoa Allocation, Rehabilitation and Development Committee has begun interface with landlord communities of the State Cocoa Estate in Etung Local Government Area.
A release signed by the Committee Secretary, Mr. Amba Ogar, revealed that the meeting commenced on Thursday, 16 November, 2023, with Etomi and Effraya/Ekimaya communities
The Committee is expected to meet with leaders of Abia and Bendeghe-Ekiem communities today,Friday, 17 November, while Agborkim/Ekugatai and Ajassor are slated for Saturday, 18 November, 2023.

The Prince Cosmas Ebori Nku-led Committee has accordingly requested : " all Clan Heads, Village Heads, Town Council Chairmen, Women/Youth Leaders and other stakeholders of the aforementioned communities are mobilise their subjects for the event."
In a telephone interview with The Beagle News on the development, the Allocation Committee Chairman, Prince Cosmas Ebori Nku, said the courtesy visits are aimed at finding common grounds on effective allocation of cocoa plots to applicants, both indegines and non indegines alike, in a manner that would be a win-win for both landlord communities and the government of the State.
