C'River PDP Commends Members For Successful Ward Congress

The State Executive Committee (SEC) of Cross River State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has commended members for successful and peaceful conduct of congresses across 193 wards.

The exercise, which is in line with section fifteen (15) of the party Constitution as amended, was free, fair and transparent with the most credible process.

The state Chairman Barr Venatius Ikem, in a statement signed by Prince Mike Ojisi State Publicity Secretary, commended all party faithful for their integrity, sacrifices and sportsmanship exhibited during the ward congress and assured them of the party's continuos readiness in providing a level playing field in future election.

The statement read in part: "We also thank all the Federal Government agencies involved with the exercise for their support in making the exercise successful. We particularly commend INEC, the Nigerian Police and Department of State Security Services. 

"Nevertheless, we apologise for some unavoidable hitches experienced during the exercise and pledged that the party will take adequate steps to ensure that such does not reoccur during subsequent congresses of the party. "
