Presenting the motion ,member representing Yala1 State Constituency, Hon Brian Odey, called on the House to urgently investigate the activities of the health sector which he says has collapsed.

The lawmaker pointed out that, all health related activities in Yala General hospital, Okpoma, and many others across the state have collapsed, noting that the situation is disheartening as citizens are complaining about the deplorable state of the health facilities across the state.

Hon. Odey emphasized the need for the State Government to employ and deploy Doctors, as well as other health personnel to government hospitals across the state and specially Yala, noting that his constituents are dying as a result of the lack of a functional health care facility to attend to patients.

Contributing to the motion, members maintained that Yala is the second most populated Local Government in the State without a functional health facility.

The House also frown at the current communual clash between Yala and part of Benue State, and called on the state government to immediately wade in and broker peace between the communities.

They lamented about the situation were victims who sustained injuries from the war are unable to access health care, and this they said doesn't speak well of the state.
