C'River 45th Commissioner of Police resumes duty
Peter Opara on Thursday officially assumed duty as the 45th Commissioner of Police (CP) in Cross River with a vow to sustain and improve upon what he meant on ground in the state.
Opara who succeeds Gyogon Grimah who has been redeployed to Kaduna state, further reiterated the Command's commitment to upholding law and order in Cross River.
Opara was initially appointed to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and then Delta state before his recent redeployment to Cross River.
Before his posting to Cross River, the CP had served as a deputy Force secretary, Police Force Headquarters, and Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Department of Finance and Administration, Imo state Command.
He also served as DCP, Legal Studies, Police Academy, Wudil, Kano, state, Area Commander Aba, Abia State Command and Area Commander, Uyo, Akwa lbom State.
Opara is among the four CPs redeployed to various Commands across the country by the Police Service Commission.
Opara's predecessor, Grimah, assumed duty asthe 44th Cross River CP in June 2023.(NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
