CDS COMMISSIONS HOLE 7 AT THE CALABAR GOLF CLUB.
The Chief of Defence Staff, Maj. Gen. Christopher Musa has commended Golfing members,, of Course, 32nd Regular Combatant course of the Nigerian Defence Academy for their enthusiasm in sponsoring a hole at the Calabar Golf Club to serve as a rallying point for their retired coursemates.
The CDS made the commendation while commissioning hole 7 on the Calabar Golf Course to the delight of the founding members
The Chief of Defence Staff who was represented by Maj. Gen. Adekunle Aregibi lauded the Captain of the Calabar Golf Club, Maj. Gen. A.M. Sabo(rtd) and other founding members for "conceiving this noble idea which is going to unite and pave the way for exchange ideas for collective interest and progress"
He described golf as an exceptional thrilling game and expressed delight to be part to be part of a historic event in Calabar
Speaking earlier, the captain of the Calabar Golf Club and one of the founding fathers of the group, Maj. Gen. A.M. Sabo(rtd) revealed that the idea of sponsoring a hole on the Calabar Golf Course with their names etched on the plaque was conceived last year after their fantastic experience in Uganda.
He assured that the hole will be played annually adding that any golfing member who plays an eagle on the hole will Cart away ₦250,000.
