APC Cross River Chapter Rejects Automatic Tickets for Serving National And State Assembly Members

The Cross River state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has stated categorically that there will be no automatic tickets for serving legislators in Cross River state at both the National and State levels in the 2027 general elections.
The State Executive Council (SEC) of the party took the decision at a meeting held in Calabar on Tuesday.
The SEC who praised the National Assembly members for their courageous support for President Bola Tinubu, on the declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State as well as supporting a second term bid for President Tinubu and Governor Otu, however granted automatic tickets to Governor Bassey Otu and his deputy, Rt. Hon Peter Odey.
The state chairman of the APC Barr. Alphonsus Ogar Eba stated that the party was ready for the 2027 general elections in Cross River while urging all elected representatives from councilors to senators, including aspirants of subsequent elections to return to their constituencies to seek their blessings and support.
“All aspirants for 2027 elections must go back home and canvass for the blessings of their constituents because there is no automatic ticket for anyone else except the governor and his deputy,” the chairman stated.
