ALGON CHAIRMAN, INYANG, HAILS OTU'S DEVELOPMENTAL STRIDES, CALLS FOR UNITY AMONG LOCAL GOVERNMENTS

THE chairman of Cross River State chapter of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) Hon. Yibala Inyang, has hailed Governor Bassey Otu's developmental strides.
Speaking at the ALGON's meeting held at the weekend in Calabar, Yibala expressed deep gratitude to Otu for his unwavering commitment to good governance under the “People First” mantra.
He said: “We are truly grateful to the Governor for his diligence and dedication to the success of the People First agenda. His leadership continues to inspire confidence among the people of Cross River state.
"I call on local government staff across the state to remain patient and cooperative, stressing the importance of unity and peace within council areas.
“We must work together to share in the progress of the People First Government. Let us explore ways to foster unity and peace within our Local Governments,” he added.
Lauding the Governor for his prompt payment of salaries and steadfast support for local government development across the state, he said : “Every Cross Riverian should keep hope alive, as more development is on the way.
"I encourage everyone to continue supporting this administration as we collectively strive to make Cross River a better place for all."
At the ALGON meeting, members reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the state government’s efforts in promoting peace, unity, and sustainable development at all levels.
