Cross River State Governor, Sen. Prince Bassey Otu has commenced plans to repackage Carnival Calabar to a bolder global brand.

Governor Otu who disclosed the plan in Calabar when he received a team of Turkish Investors, GL Turkiye-Serenas, with special interest in Carnival Calabar, observed that the annual event which showcases the rich cultural heritage of Cross River and Nigeria at large, has been in existence for more than 20 years, pointing out that this should be rejigged, relaunched and floated high just like any other longstanding investment.

Hon. Odey assured the team of their safety in the State informing that Cross Riverians are most welcoming and peace loving people, adding that the Governor is also committed to ensuring that Cross River regains her pride of place as the Number one Tourism destination in Nigeria.
