Akpabio Condoles Family Of Late Tribune Correspondent, Adeyemi

 President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has condoled with the family Of late Tribune Correspondent, Alhaji Tijani Adeyemi, describing the deceased as “Cool headed and quiet man who did his job diligently and most professionally.”

The Senate President, represented by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Honourable Eseme Eyiboh, said “it is only God that gives life and takes it when He wants."

Eyiboh explained that the Senate President had wanted to come personally but could not make it due to exigencies of work.

Responding on behalf of the family, Mr. Ade Mutiu, thanked the Senate President for his kind gesture for finding time to visit and mourn with the family.

He disclosed that the late Tijani Adeyemi left behind four daughters including two undergraduates, one secondary school leaver and a JSS 3 student, saying the wife, Maimunat Tijani Adeyemi, needs a job to take care of the children.

He appealed to the Senate President to find a job for Mrs Maimunat Tijani Adeyemi.

According to him, Mrs Adeyemi, an NCE graduate, but who has been unemployed for many years.

Hon. Eyiboh promised to convey the request made by the family of the late Adeyemi to the President of the Senate.

Hon. Eyiboh was accompanied on the condolence visit by the Special Assistant on Media and Communication to the Senate President, Anietie Ekong, Senior Legislative Aide on New Media, Ahmed Tijani and representatives of the Senate Press Corps, Taiwo Amodu (Tribune) and Azimazi Jimoh (The Guardian).

Until his death last Wednesday, Adeyemi was the Senate Correspondent of the Tribune Newspapers in the National Assembly.
