ABUJA HIGH COURT ORDERS  PDP TO SHOW CAUSE WHY CALABAR SOUTH SOUTH ZONAL CONGRESS SHOULD NOT BE UPHELD

Justice Inyang Ekwo of the Federal High Court, Abuja, on Thursday, ordered the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to show cause why the mandate of the party’s South-South Zonal Executive led by Chief Dan Orbih should not be upheld.

The judge gave the order in an ex parte motion filed by Orbih and his 22-member zonal executive against the PDP.

Recall that Chief Dan Orbih was re-elected Vice Chairman South South Zone of the People's Democratic Party, PDP.

 Orbih was elected in Calabar during the party's Zonal Congress held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, promising to end impunity and imposition in the party.

Other officials elected include Alabah Turnah, MON (Secretary), Evelyn Weke (Treasurer), Ijeoma Obani (Financial secretary) and Timothy Okwoche (Organizing Secretary).

Other elected officials are Iyrneri Briggs (Legal Adviser), Prince Etim Isong (Publicity Secretary), Loveday Abaribote (Auditor), Phenomena Esubok (Woman leader), and Patrick Asuquo (Youth Leader)
