2025 Budget: Otu To Spend N14bn On Overseas, Local Trips, As Cally Air, Hanger Get N5bn

The Cross River State government is to spend a total sum of about N14, 719, 223, 589 on Overseas and local travels, transportation and training in the 2025 Fiscal year, THE BEAGLE NEWS can authoritatively reveal.
This allocation is part of 2025 proposed budget with a total size of N538,523,915,715.99 billion.
The 2024 Budget christened “Budget of Sustainable Growth” was signed into law by Governor Bassey Otu on December 24, 2024.
At the signing ceremony, the governor highlighted the administration’s vision to drive economic growth and enhance the quality of life for citizens.
The budgetary allocation information is contained in the 2025 copy of the Cross River State Government’s Budget Proposal, which also outlines plans for overhead cost and other expenditures.
The breakdown of the budget obtained by THE BEAGLE NEWS shows that general transport and travels will gulp a whooping sum of N7, 914, 450, 356.08 while the sum of N3, 616, 326, 263.51 was allocated to another subhead titled local travels, transport and others.
From the Budget, the sum of N2, 550, 200, 000 was allocated to oversea travels and transport.
Again, he sum of NN534, 766, 976.37 was allocated to another subhead captioned local travels, transport and training while international travels, transport and training will gulp the sum of N103, 480, 000.
On the entertainment allowance with code no:21020108, the state government budgeted the sun of N326, 802, 016.55.
Furthermore, the government allocated the sum of N5 billion for the purchase of Aircraft and hanger.
