2  Suspected Drug Dealers Arrested in Cross River Community

THE Cross River state Anti-Cultism and Kidnapping Squad of the Nigeria Police has arrested 2 suspected drug dealers in Ugep, Yakurr local government area.

The state commissioner of police, Gyongon Grimah, disclosed this while speaking to journalists on Friday, said the arrest was carried out along Old Market Road, Ugep, where 2 young boys in their 20s were apprehended following a credible intelligence report 

The names of the suspects according to Grimah are Bassey Bassey 21 and Christopher Okoi 23, and were arrested after the raid.

Grimah said: "An on-the-spot search was conducted and substances suspected to be hard drugs were found in the possession of the suspects.

“Different types of hard drugs recovered from the suspects are 27 wraps of Ice, 110 wraps of Colos, 16 wraps of Loud, and seven Big. Other items recovered include one laptop, three Android phones, two power banks, one scale, one MP3 player and a cash sum of N1.3 million.

“The suspects have so far confessed to the crime and are helping us with useful information the track down the sources of supply” the police commissioner said.

He added that the 2 suspects would be charged to court immediately the investigation is completed.,
