NDLEA Destroys 6-Hectare Cannabis Farm in Cross River, Arrests One
A joint raid by the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and officers of the 13 brigade Nigerian Army have uncovered and destroyed over six hectares of cannabis farmland in Uwet, Akamkpa local government areas of Cross River State.
One female suspect, Alice Sunday Udoh (53), was arrested at the scene after operatives acted on credible intelligence about illegal cultivation in the community.
About 1119kg of processed cannabis was seized while an estimated 15,000kg cultivated on the farm was destroyed.
The NDLEA confirmed further operations are underway to track and dismantle other cannabis farms in the region.
