Senator representing Cross River North, Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, has praised his wife, Dr Offiong Jarigbe, for her outstanding academic accomplishment after she was awarded a Doctorate Degree in Business Administration at the 12th convocation ceremony of Baze University in Abuja.

The well attended ceremony, held at the university campus, featured an array of distinguished personalities including the President of Sierra Leone, His Excellency Julius Maada Bio, the President of Senegal who was represented by the Senegalese Ambassador to Nigeria, Babacar Matar Ndiaye, and the Governor of Katsina State, Dikko Umar Radda, among others.

Senator Jarigbe described his wife’s doctorate as a remarkable feat that reflects her resilience, discipline, and commitment to self development, despite the multiple responsibilities of family life, business, and leadership.

He noted that her academic attainment should serve as a source of encouragement to women who continue to balance demanding roles while pursuing personal growth.

“Your success in deepening your intellectual curiosity should serve as an inspiration to all wonderful women who are juggling the demanding tasks of running a home, raising children, running a business, yet keeping an eye on intellectual growth and advancement,” he said.

The Senator prayed for more success and greater opportunities that will accompany the academic attainment.

“As you relish this moment of great accomplishment, I wish you luck and more blessings that this academic laurel will bring. Once again, congratulations, Doc,” he added.

The convocation also witnessed the graduation of students across various programmes, reaffirming Baze University’s commitment to excellence in academic and professional development.
