Jarigbe Joins Vice President Shettima’s Delegation to Imo Economic Summit

Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, representing Cross River North Senatorial District, was among the high-profile delegation that accompanied Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima, to the Imo State Economic Summit hosted by Governor Hope Uzodimma.

The summit, held in Owerri, attracted an impressive lineup of global and national leaders, reaffirming its significance as a platform for economic dialogue and investment discourse.

Among the dignitaries present were the President of Liberia, Joseph Boakai, former United Nations Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon, former United Kingdom Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, and Mauritius’ first female President, Ameenah Gurib-Fakim.

Several Nigerian governors also attended, including Mai Mala Buni of Yobe, Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa, Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti, Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo, and Monday Okpebholo of Edo.

Top federal officials at the event included the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, the Minister of Budget and National Planning, Atiku Bagudu, and the Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment, John Owan Enoh.

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, and several members of the National Assembly were also in attendance.

Senator Jarigbe’s participation highlights Cross River North’s engagement in national economic conversations and underscores his continued involvement in key policy dialogues aimed at stimulating development across the country.
