Jarigbe Celebrates Florence Ita Giwa at 80
The Senator representing Cross River North Senatorial District, Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, has congratulated Distinguished Senator Florence Ita Giwa on her 80th birthday, describing her as “an irresistible jewel of inestimable value.”
He made the remark during a grand gala held in Lagos in honour of the former lawmaker, whose life of service and statesmanship continues to inspire generations of Nigerians.
Senator Jarigbe said Senator Ita Giwa has always been accessible and supportive, noting that she has never hesitated to receive him whenever he sought her audience and has consistently shown him honour and encouragement. He also recalled her goodwill, especially when she joined him in celebrating his 55th birthday last December in Abuja.
The celebration drew prominent personalities, including former President Olusegun Obasanjo; the Governor of Cross River State, Bassey Otu; former Gombe State Governor and Senator representing Gombe North, Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo; Asuquo Ekpenyong; and other dignitaries.
Describing her as a woman of grace, courage and enduring relevance in Nigeria’s political landscape, Senator Jarigbe said her wisdom, generosity and commitment to national development have earned her admiration across generations.
He prayed that God grants her renewed strength, sound health and many more years of peace, joy and fulfilment as she continues to inspire emerging leaders through her legacy of service.
