Ikom I Lawmaker Abang, Gets APC Nod for 2nd Term, Pledges Accelerated Development

Member Representing Ikom 1 State Constituency in the Cross River State House of Assembly, Hon. Samuel Neji Abang, has been returned as the All Progressives Congress candidate for a second term following a consensus arrangement.
In a statement to constituents, party faithful, and stakeholders, Abang expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support that has entrusted him with the opportunity to continue serving the people of Ikom 1.
He thanked God for guidance throughout the process saying he was deeply honored by the confidence reposed in him by leaders, elders, youths, women, and the entire constituency.
“Your unwavering belief in my leadership and your continuous encouragement inspire me daily to work harder in pursuit of better representation, impactful legislation, and meaningful development for our communities,” Abang said.
The lawmaker also appreciated Governor Bassey Edet Otu for his leadership and commitment to peace, unity, and progress in the state and party as well as the APC structures at the ward, local government, state, and national levels for demonstrating unity, consensus, and internal democracy.
He praised fellow aspirants for participating with dignity and patriotism, noting that democracy thrives when individuals place collective interest above personal ambition.
He assured constituents of continued commitment to transparency, accessibility, accountability, and service noting that the constituency requires accelerated development in infrastructure, education, healthcare, youth empowerment, agriculture, commerce, and social welfare, while pledgeding to pursue these priorities with renewed vigor.
“The journey ahead is not about one individual but about our shared dreams and collective future,” he said. Together, we shall continue to build bridges of opportunity, strengthen the voice of our people, and ensure that the dividends of democracy reach every community within Ikom 1 State Constituency.”
