Ikom Council Boss Congratulates Speaker Ayambem, Abang for Emerging Flag Bearers, Calls for Unity

The Chairman of Ikom Local Government Area, Pst. Mercy Nsor, has congratulated the All Progressives Congress candidate for Ikom II state constituency, Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem and that of Ikom I Hon. Samuel Neji Abang for Emerging the party's flag bearers ahead of the 2027 elections.

In a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary Chris Ntem, the chairman on behalf of the local government leadership congratulated the duo following their endorsement by the Cross River State Governor, Sen. Bassey Edet Otu.

The statement affirmed that the endorsement was a clear recognition of their sterling leadership, loyalty to the party, and consistent service to the people of Cross River State. She expressed confidence that the incoming members would ensure greater stability, legislative excellence, and people-centered governance in the 11th Assembly.

The chairman urged both candidates to work together to advance the interests of Ikom LGA at the state level while calling on all stakeholders and leaders in Ikom to align with the governor’s directive and work in unity for the party.

She further urged all candidates to foster peace, harmony, and love among stakeholders, supporters, and party faithful, Stressing that only a united front will assure of a landslide win in 2027
