Eteng Williams Picks Senatorial Nomination Form, Seeks Second Term

The Senator representing Cross River Central Senatorial District, Eteng Jones Williams, has obtained his senatorial nomination form ahead of the next election, declaring his intention to seek a second term in office.

Williams, while addressing supporters and party stakeholders after picking the form, promised to sustain quality representation and consolidate on the achievements recorded during his first tenure in the Senate.

The lawmaker said his decision to seek re election was informed by the need to continue championing policies and projects aimed at improving the living conditions of people across the six local government areas of the district.

He maintained that effective representation requires commitment, accessibility and continuous engagement with constituents, assuring the people that he would not relent in advancing their interests at the National Assembly.

According to him, his first term witnessed interventions in infrastructure, youth empowerment, education and community development, adding that a second term would provide the opportunity to expand ongoing projects and attract more federal presence to the district.

Williams also pledged to continue supporting programmes that promote economic growth, job creation and social welfare for residents of Cross River Central.

He thanked party leaders, supporters and constituents for their confidence and backing over the years, describing their support as a source of encouragement.

The senator urged residents of the district to remain united and committed to the progress of the area, assuring them of transparent and people oriented representation if re elected.
