Ebonyi State: Govt Nwifuru Sacks Commissioner for Works

Ebonyi State Governor, Francis Nwifuru, has sacked the state Commissioner for Works, Stanley Lebechi Mbam, from office.

The governor also directed Mbam to hand over all government property in his possession, including his official vehicle, to the Secretary to the State Government and transfer his responsibilities to the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry.

The directive was contained in a statement issued on Saturday by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Dr Monday Uzor, to journalists in Abakaliki.

Nwifuru assured residents that his administration remained focused on effective governance and improving public
