Cross River Government Set to Take Over Kada Cinema
Cross River State Government has acquired Kada Cinema and its assets for N220 million to boost the state's tourism sector. Governor Bassey Otu approved the acquisition during the 8th State Executive Council meeting in July, presided over by Deputy Governor Peter Odey.
Kada cinema owned by former governor of Edo state Lucky Igbenidion was commissioned by Governor Otu on November 7, 2023, at Marina Resort, the former premises of Film House Cinema.
The premises house not only the cinema but also Kada Healthcare and Pharmacy, as well as the Zozo Bistro.
Recall that part of the entertainment hub was gutted by fire due to an alleged electrical fault barely 12 weeks after commissioning.
