C'River Police Disburses N13.75m Insurance Benefits to Families of 17 Fallen Officers

‎The Cross River State Police Command has presented Group Life Assurance cheques worth N13.75 million to families of 17 deceased police personnel.

‎The Commissioner of Police, CP Ajo Geoffrey Ordue, presented the cheques valued at N13,753,885.36 on Wednesday, at the Command Headquarters in Calabar.

‎

‎The presentation was made on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, following approval of the payments to the beneficiaries.

‎

‎Ajo said the gesture demonstrated the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to the welfare of its personnel and their families, noting that while no financial assistance could compensate for the loss of a loved one, the payment would provide support to the bereaved families.

‎

‎He urged the beneficiaries to use the funds judiciously and assured them of the Command’s continued support.

‎

‎The commissioner also commended the families for their resilience and sacrifices, while urging serving officers to remain professional and discharge their duties with courage, discipline and integrity.
