C'River NDDC Commissioner Urges Collective Action for Niger Delta Prosperity on Independence Day

As Nigeria celebrates its 65th Independence Anniversary, the Cross River State NDDC Commissioner, Rt. Hon. Orok Otu Duke, has called for collective action to drive prosperity in the Niger Delta region.

The commissioner while emphasizing on the need for Nigerians to work together to consolidate democratic gains and address challenges ahead, payed tribute to the sacrifices of founding fathers who fought for freedom with self-determination while reaffirming that their labour shall not be in vain.

The commissioner who stated this in an independence day goodwill message made available to press echoed the theme of this year's celebration: "All Hands on Deck" stating that it reminds us of our responsibility to build a prosperous and united nation.

The commissioner reaffirmed the Niger Delta Development Commission's commitment to delivering on its core mandate of driving economic growth, reducing poverty, and promoting sustainable development in the region in alignment with the current administration's Renewed Hope Agenda.

He urged Cross Riverians to remain steadfast in their commitment to the nation's progress, working together to build a brighter future for themselves and future generations while reassuring that Cross River State will benefit from its fair share of interventions to support development and economic sustainability
