C'River forum of Special Advisers Highlights Otu's Three Year multidimensional Achievements

The Forum of Special Advisers to the Govemor of cross River state, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu has presented a scorecard of numerous achievements recorded by the present administration in the past three years.

 Speaking at a sectoral briefing held at the APC Campaign office in Calabar, Chairman of the Forum and Special Adviser on General Duties, Barr. Ekpenyong Akiba, outlined Prince Otu's numerous accomplishmets ranging from Infrastructural development, Health, transportation, education, urban renewal, assets recovery, public service delivery, tourism etc.

 Akiba explained that the sectoral briefing was designed to expose and inform the public with facts about government projects and programmes executed in the past three years emphasising most of the projects have become operational and are delivering value to the Cross Riverians!

 "Three years down the line, His Excellency's achievements have been multidimensional, in all sectors, no administration in the past has given such attention to various sectors like the present government." Akiba stated.

 Presenting the score card on Assets Management and Recovery, the Special Adviser, Barr Gilbert Agbor, remarked that the department had Undertaken series of reforms, investigations, recovery exercises, audit and enforcement actions aimed at protecting government assets and optimising its economic value to the benefit of the people.

 Agbor noted, the transparency and accountability witnessed in governance as numerous government property illegally occupied were recovered. 

"The dept generated close to a billion naira, several cocoa plots illegally occupied were recovered including blocked linkages associated with government assets and agricultural estates. Also two other major recoveries under the leadership of Gov. Otu were the oil wells and the Tinapa Resort.

  Presenting Governor Otu's achievements under his department, Special Adviser on Automobile, Licencing Regulatory Department, Chief Ndem Effiong said the department was created by the present administration to regulate activities of technicians, spare parts and engine oil dealers in the state so as to function effectively.

 The Special Adviser affirmed the establishment of a training Center at the University of Education, Enterpreneurship (UEE) Akamkpa through the National Locomotive and design development Council, (NCDC)Abuja, construction of a servicing plant at the University of Calabar, formation of a female technicians association for grooming of women and girls as technicians among others.

 Special Adviser on Inter- Party Affairs, Hon. Nkoyo Otu recalled the number of litigations faced by previous administrations in the state, saying the friendly disposition of Governor Otu's style of governance has ensured stability and peace in the political field. She appealed to Cross Riverians to continue to support the second term ambition of Prince Otu for sustainability.

"His Excellency, Gov Otu is a friendly Governor ready to work with anyone irrespective of Party affiliation." She emphasised.
