C'River Benue, Ebonyi, Enugu, Must Re-elect Tinubu To Complete Massive Infrastructurs - Umahi

Minister of Works, Sen. David Umahi, has called on communities in Benue, Ebonyi, Enugu, Cross River and other parts of the country to re-elect President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027 in appreciation of ongoing massive infrastructure projects.

Umahi made the appeal during an inspection of the *Cross River–Ebonyi–Benue–Abuja Trans-Saharan Highway* at the weekend.

According to him, the only way to guarantee the completion of the highway and other federal road projects is for Nigerians to give President Tinubu a second term.

“The only way this project can be completed is for the people to massively vote for President Tinubu. No other person has the deep passion and commitment to complete this project,” he said.

The Minister described the President as “a miracle” to rural communities, noting that without his intervention, many areas would still be cut off and unable to move agricultural produce.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has taken the bull by the horns and intervened in many of the issues. We cannot have all the money to do all the projects at once, so we will continue to do the much we can based on our available resources,” Umahi stated.

He projected that by *2031*, the end of Tinubu’s second tenure if re-elected, the Trans-Saharan Highway and other critical roads would have been fully completed.

“If previous presidents had intervened in this manner, perhaps we would not be in the kind of situation we are facing today. We have been to Ibadan, Ijebu Ode, the Coastal Highway and other locations to intervene in road projects and bypasses,” he added.

Umahi said the President’s directive is for the Ministry to work with state governments to address infrastructure problems affecting citizens, despite financial constraints and the large number of projects nationwide.

“I want the public to appreciate what the President is doing. I appeal to the communities in Benue, Enugu, Ebonyi, Cross River and other parts of the country to acknowledge and appreciate the federal government’s intervention,” the Minister said.
