The Cross River State PDP Deputy Governorship Candidate for the 2027 General Election, Barr. Alphonsus Ogar Eba, says he has obtained a court order restraining the planned demolition of his residential building in Calabar.

In a statement posted on his official Facebook page on Thursday, Eba disclosed that his counsel, First Baba Isa, Esq., secured a restraining injunction this morning at the Federal High Court sitting in Calabar.

According to Eba, the order halts any demolition pending the hearing and determination of his fundamental rights suit.

“To the glory of God and special appreciation to all who stood on the side of justice, I am pleased to inform you that our counsel secured a restraining injunction against the planned demolition of my residential building in Calabar,” he wrote.

Eba said the development marks the beginning of a long journey to the Supreme Court. He added that all actions would be guided by legal remedies.

“When they go low, let’s go high. We are in a Democracy, therefore, all our actions and reactions shall be guided by every legal remedies available to us. That is the law and no government no matter how powerful can go against it in a democracy,” he stated.
